New Xbox One Update For Insiders Includes ‘Do Not Disturb’, ‘Next Achievements’ Features & More
New Insider update alert!
A new firmware update is ready and waiting for fellow Xbox One Insiders to test out. Version 180105-1503 offers various improvements, deals with some bugs, and also adds some snazzy new features.
One of the biggest additions to this update is the 'Do Not Disturb' feature. This allows you to set your online status as 'Do Not Disturb', meaning that all those pesky notifications and messages won't be bothering you whilst you're enjoying your session of Halo. One great use for this feature would be to avoid being spammed with messages and invites when you simply want to kick back and relax with a series of online matches.
The other big addition is the 'Next Achievements' feature. This feature tracks all Achievements that you're close to unlocking across all your games, and it's available in the Guide. Be sure to filter the results further to really concentrate on unlocking specific achievements!
A smaller version of Game Hubs has been added to the Guide - they contain the same content as the regular hubs such as Achievements, friend activity etc, but in bite-sized chunks.
This update also changes the layout of comments in the Community feed to make them easier to read; it also adds a few more options to the Power and Startup menu when turning off your Xbox after a period of inactivity.
Whilst Microsoft didn't state when us non-insiders can expect to see these features, testing usually takes about a month so they should be available to us soon.
Are you looking forward to fully immersing yourself into your favourite game without those annoying notifications, or being able to check how far you are off unlocking the next achievement in a flash? Let us know below.
